During this complimentary, live, introductory workshop, you will learn what mental resilience is, why it is important, how to recognise your emotions and the effect they have on you at critical times in your life, self-awareness and self-management.
Hockey coach of 25 years, Cory Clouston will explain the need for mental resilience, and for mental preparedness, pre-competition. This will also apply to any of us non-ice hockey players in important work situations.
Performance coach, NLP Master and Instructor of 15 years, Louise Goddard will teach you a few of her simple, fast mental techniques to master your own emotional state and achieve your peak performance state at any time, any place, and with anyone.
Louise will explain that you can choose to produce the state you want, e.g. calm and focused, alert, energetic, confident. With practice, these mental techniques will come automatically to you as you become unconsciously competent at mastering your own emotional state and develop your mental resilience. Cory will emphasise the importance of this in high performance sport, with specific examples in hockey.
The training will be held on Tues 14th Sept 2021 at 8pm-9pm EDT on Zoom. This will include a 15-20-minute, live question and answer opportunity with Louise and Cory.

If you've come to this page, I expect you have already heard someone say some version of these during your lifetime. You already know that being told that 'you're too this...' or 'you aren't that...' doesn't reap results - you don't magically build resilience just because someone has yelled at you to do so. That's just as unhelpful as telling someone struggling with depression to cheer up! The good news is, you can develop your resilience at any age. All you need is willingness and a little time.

In our Mental Resilience Training, we will teach you what resilience means and the ways in which this attribute can empower your personal and professional life.
We cannot control events around us or what other people do or say, but we can control our response. In our Mental Resilience training, you will learn how to respond differently in tough or stressful situations in sports, business and in your personal life.
You will leave our training with the knowledge of how to be mentally resliient in any personal, work or sports arena. You will have practised mental techniques based on neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) taught by long-term NLP Master and Instructor, Louise Goddard.
